Dear Colleagues,
It is my great pleasure and honour to be chair for the INDUSTRIALCONNECT2025 conference. As someone who has always liked to carry out applications research at university in the field of advanced manufacturing, I have always understood the need to have strong connections to industry. If I can’t fully understand the problems that manufacturers face, my work will be much less effective. My current role as Director of the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Advanced Manufacturing at the University of Twente, Netherlands, has also shown me that manufacturing industry thrives most effectively if these connections are properly developed and maintained by conferences like INDUSTRIALCONNECT2025, particularly if you want to explore further afield. The more you know and the more people you know, the better your decision making. That is why I am really looking forward to meeting you in Barcelona, Spain next February 24-26, 2025.
