Description

In the frame of the Copernicus Marine National Collaboration Programme (NCP), this event will showcase the innovative projects developed under the tender 2250 COP INNO USER “Copernicus Marine – EU Coastal Monitoring Pilot Demonstrations”.
These 15 projects, spanning across across all European regional seas, will provide coastal monitoring data (or information) to bridge the gap between the open ocean and the coast. The workshop will present the pilot use cases designed to support the implementation of EU Directives at the national level.
Participants will learn about the projects’ approaches to:

  •  Downscale monitoring activities: Tailoring data from the open ocean to specific coastal regions.
  • Enhance user-focused services: Developing practical applications for marine policy and governance stakeholders.

The workshop fosters discussion and collaboration amongst stakeholders interested in:

  • Copernicus Marine Service data and products
  • The role of Copernicus Marine Service data in seamless integration of coastal monitoring services
  • Fostering collaboration among stakeholders for advancing coastal monitoring systems.
