The General Assembly 2025 of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) is held at the Austria Center Vienna (ACV) in Vienna, Austria and online, from 27 April–2 May 2025. The assembly is open to the scientists of all nations. The congress centre is wheelchair accessible.

Official language

The official language of the conference is English. Simultaneous interpretation is not provided. It is therefore expected that authors are able to present their research more or less fluently in the English language.

Aims & scope
The EGU General Assembly 2025 brings together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience.

The abstract submission deadline is Wednesday, 15 January 2025, 13:00 CET. Please note that an abstract processing charge (APC) of €50 gross per abstract applies. All first authors of abstracts submitted to the EGU25 have to be an EGU member for the calendar year 2025 or honorary/life member. The membership can be acquired upon abstract submission.
