The DZD International Diabetes Research School is the annual highlight of the DZD NEXT program.

80 international and national early career researchers are selected for this intensive three-day programme, which includes basic research, clinical and industrial diabetes research, but also sessions on important topics such as science communication or career development.

International speakers, who are leading in their field of research, present their work in vivid overview lectures and with special reference to translational research. Participants present and discuss their own research projects in poster sessions with the speakers and other participants.

The DZD International Diabetes Research School has been held annually since 2013, usually at different European locations in the run-up to the EASD conference.
