Our healthcare system is undergoing a transformation, we are experiencing an enormous range of innovative approaches, individualized therapy and interdisciplinary teamwork. We want to discuss this together at the 59th Diabetes Congress under the motto “New dimensions in diabetology – individual. Interdisciplinary. Innovative.”

On behalf of the DDG Board, we would like to welcome you to Berlin from May 28 to 31, 2025. We look forward to experiencing new dimensions in diabetology with you: unprecedented innovations and rapid advances in technology, medication and digitalization. At the same time, new work, issues of health financing and concerns about the next generation. The Diabetes Congress offers an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest findings, think about future clinical applications and discuss all facets of our exciting subject together with other experts and to inspire young people to become interested in diabetology.

The German Diabetes Society (DDG) is organizing the Diabetes Congress for the 59th time. Every year, around 6,000 participants, mainly from German-speaking countries, come to Berlin. The congress provides visitors with an up-to-date overview of the current state of scientific developments and a concrete future perspective on the causes and development of diabetes mellitus, as well as topics such as health care research, prevention and treatment.

Over three and a half days, experts from research, practice and science use the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues, health policy decision-makers and pharmaceutical representatives in symposia, workshops, poster presentations and free lectures and to receive further training on specific topics.

We will again be offering the Diabetes Congress as a hybrid event in 2025.
