CoDis 2026 – Meeting Them Where They Are: Emotion, Communication, and the Power of Connection is an international conference dedicated to intellectual and developmental disabilities, with particular attention to adulthood. Organized by Casa Santa Rosa as a Joint Seminar with EAMHID (European Association for Mental Health in Intellectual Disability), the conference aims to foster dialogue between clinical practice, research, and services, promoting the exchange of experiences, research findings, and innovative approaches to assessment, treatment, and support.
The 2026 theme highlights the central role of emotion, communication, and human relationships in supporting people with intellectual disabilities, emphasizing person-centred approaches and the value of meaningful connections.
The scientific programme features international keynote speakers, oral presentations, clinical case discussions, and poster sessions. Simultaneous interpretation between Italian and English will be available throughout the conference, enabling participants and speakers to engage fully regardless of their preferred language.
