ACM UMAP – User Modeling, Adaptation and Personalization – is the premier international conference for researchers and practitioners working on systems that adapt to individual users, to groups of users, and that collect, represent, and model user information. ACM UMAP is the successor to the biennial User Modeling (UM) and Adaptive Hypermedia and Adaptive Web-based Systems (AH) conferences that were merged in 2009. It is sponsored by ACM SIGCHI and SIGWEB, and organized with User Modeling Inc. as the Steering Committee.
ACM UMAP 2025 will bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to discuss the latest developments in human-centered approaches to design and use AI systems that adapt to human needs while ensuring user control, fairness, accountability, transparency, inclusivity and sustainability. The accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, accessible through the ACM Digital Library.
UMAP 2025 is scheduled as an in-person conference taking place in New York, USA on June 16-20, 2025. Please check our attendance policy in case of severe travel restrictions.
