The 2nd IWA Conference on Sustainable Natural and Engineered Water Systems Management (2nd IWA SWSM-2024)  will be held during October 18-21, 2024 at the Jianguo Hotel in Xi’an. This conference is a periodical international symposium on research and developments for sustainable water management. The 1st IWA SWSM conference was held at the Pathumwan Princess Hotel of Bangkok on December 13-16, 2023.

This conference will be hosted by Shaanxi University of Science and Technology and Yan’an University, co-organized by “Northwest Ecological Environmental Materials and Technology” Innovation and Talent Introduction Base, “Ecological Environmental Materials and Green Low-Carbon Technology” International Science and Technology Cooperation Base, and Northern Shaanxi Modern Multi-Energy Integration System for Future Industry Innovation Research Institute. The honorary chairmen of the conference are Prof. Jincai Zhao (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) and Prof. Detlef Bahnemann, and the chairmen of the conference are Prof. Chuanyi Wang (FRSC, FIAAM, Life FRSA, Member of IWA) and Prof. Virender Sharma (FRSC, Member of IWA). 

The theme of 2nd IWA SWSM-2024 will be the sustainable pollutant control technologies in natural and engineered water systems.
