Description

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 23rd National Symposium on Radiation Physics (NSRP) being held in the heritage city of Mysuru during January 19-21, 2023. The Department of Studies in Physics, University of Mysore and the Indian Society for Radiation Physics (ISRP) are honoured to host this prestigious event. The Science and Technology of Radiation Physics have undergone a sea change over the last three decades. Apart from a better understanding of the fundamental aspects, the advances in science as well as development in electronics and instrumentation have opened up a plethora of areas in scientific and technological innovations in the field of Radiation Physics for betterment of humankind.

This symposium theme “Innovations in Radiation Physics” reminds us of the importance of the discipline and the necessity to share the knowledge, technology and experience across scientific community.

Relatively speaking Radiation Physics is a new subject to emphasize the fact that Physics has played a very important role in the use of radiation in various fields of human activity such as medical, industries and agriculture etc. It has to be emphasized that even today there is a great deed for innovative approach in the utilization of ionizing radiation. An innovation in Radiation Physics should create job providers instead of job seekers.

Therefore organizers of NSRP – 23, want to utilize this opportunity by providing a unique meeting ground for all radiation research scholars, academicians and professionals to present their theoretical and experimental work, discuss and debate the current trends and future plans.

We cordially invite you and your colleagues to be a part of this prestigious event by participating in large numbers. Let us meet at Mysuru for a fruitful technical discussion to enhance our network of collaborations.
