We are happy to have the 2025 GISSIG in person this April 8, 2025, at the RIT Inn and Conference Center.

We are currently pleased to announce we have 2 keynote speakers this year talking about the impacts of Geo AI, Song Gao, and Joseph Kerski.

Geographic Information Sharing Special Interest Group (GIS/SIG) is an educational user’s group whose primary mission is to foster the understanding of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) technology. GIS/SIG provides a professional forum in the Rochester – Genesee Finger Lakes region for GIS education, data sharing, communication and networking with other local, state and national users, dissemination of information about trends and policies related to GIS, and technology advancement.

GIS/SIG presents three quarterly programs held at various locations in the region as well as our annual conference.
