The SMART 2025 ECCOMAS Thematic Conference on Smart Structures and Materials will take place at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. Launched in 2003, this conference is the 11th annual conference in a series of successful international conferences previously held in Poland (2003, 2007), Portugal (2005, 2009, 2015), Germany (2011), Italy (2013), Spain (2017), France (2019), and Greece (2023).

The conference is co-organized by the Institute of Technical Mechanics (TMECH), the Institute of Structural Lightweight Design (IKL) and the Linz Center of Mechatronics (LCM).

SMART 2025 aims at promoting research, development and applications of smart materials, structures and systems through the exchange of scientific results and insight from leading international scholars and professional experts. The conference provides a forum for the discussion of recent advances in the highly interdisciplinary field of smart materials and structures, development of future ideas in a multidisciplinary setting and encourages transfer of advanced scientific results from research to applications.

SMART 2025 will cover topics ranging from Smart Materials, Structures and Systems to Structural Control and Health Monitoring, to Methodologies and Tools for Simulation and Design, to Manufactering Technologies all the way to Applications of Smart Materials in different fields.
