Rethinking Aging in a Changing World
? 12–14 June 2026 | ? Tokyo, Japan
The 4th Global Conference on Aging and Gerontology invites researchers, clinicians, caregivers, policymakers, and scholars to gather in Tokyo for an interdisciplinary exploration of aging, longevity, and later-life wellbeing. Set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most rapidly aging societies, this international conference creates a vital space to exchange research, share practice-based insights, and shape the future of aging care and policy.
The conference covers a broad spectrum of themes, from healthy aging, longevity medicine, and anti-aging research to geriatrics, gerontological nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care. Participants will also explore critical topics such as neurodegenerative diseases, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, cognitive decline, mental and emotional health, and neuroplasticity, alongside emerging research in stem cells, anti-aging peptides, and biological theories of aging.
Beyond clinical and biological perspectives, the conference emphasizes the social, psychological, and cultural dimensions of aging. Sessions will address social gerontology, elder rights and protection, loneliness and social isolation, family and professional caregiving, housing and built environments, aging in media and literature, gender and minority aging issues, as well as retirement, older workers, and financial planning in later life.
