As the global transition toward clean energy accelerates, ensuring diverse perspectives is essential to driving innovation and achieving long-term sustainability.

While the participation of women in science and engineering continues to grow, their representation in leadership roles and at international energy conferences remains limited. To help address this imbalance, Energy Oceania 2026 will feature a dedicated session on “Women in Renewable Energy” during the conference in Gold Coast, Australia, from 23 – 25 November, 2026.

This session will highlight the achievements of female professionals, researchers, and innovators who are making a meaningful impact in the field. It will also provide a platform to discuss the challenges women face across academia, industry, and policy, while exploring practical strategies to foster a more inclusive and equitable future.

Through keynote talks, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, the session aims to inspire early-career professionals, promote mentorship, and encourage meaningful collaboration across all levels of the renewable energy community.
