Academics, mariners, historians, archaeologists, boaters and enthusiasts are welcome to EWA-2: the 2nd International Early Watercraft Congress, sponsored by the Early Watercraft Association in historic Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The conference will feature new research, alternative perspectives, and unique approaches to the study and appreciation of early watercraft, including dugouts/logboats, rafts, skin boats, basket boats, bundle boats, and the earliest plank-built boats.   The theme of this year’s conference is Early Watercraft: Technologies and Use in Maritime Landscapes. Presentations will cover topics such as:
