Social Science is concerned with society and the relationships among individuals within a society, which often rely primarily on empirical approaches. It includes anthropology, economics, political science, psychology and sociology. In a wider sense, it may often include some fields in the humanities such as archaeology, history, law, and linguistics. Positivist social scientists use methods resembling those of the natural sciences as tools for understanding society, and so define science in its stricter modern sense.

2026 12th International Conference on Humanity and Social Sciences will be held in Sapporo, Japan during January 23-25. The conference is co-organised by Kyushu University and National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan. As a premier conference, ICHSS aims to provide a good forum for scientists, researchers, engineers and industrial practitioners throughout the world to present and discuss the latest technology advancement as well as future directions and trends in humanity and social sciences.

Submissions will be reviewed by at least two conference technical committees or international reviewers, and accepted papers will be published into SHS Web of Conferences (Open Access proceedings in Humanities and Social Sciences, eISSN: 2261-2424), which will be submitted to be indexed by CNKI, CPCI (Web of Science), Google Scholar, DOAJ, etc.
