This is the leading conference for organisations wanting to meet paediatricians and allied child healthcare professionals. It’s an opportunity to engage with more than 1,800 delegates and gain exposure to more than 23,000 RCPCH global members and the wider child health community.
Day 1
We started our event, of course, with the voice of children and young people. Our first keynote speaker was Professor Sir Michael Marmot speaking on health inequalities. Our morning workshops covered varied topics such as the criminal justice system, air pollution and learning about relationships in the digital world. After lunch our specialty groups sessions began!
Day 2
Morning sessions explored preventive care and how we might ‘Make Medical Education Great Again’, plus how we can ‘ShiftTheDial on health inequalities. Delegates could attend sessions later in the day, including one on how we support perinatal care in Rwanda plus a vital conversation on the foundations of Martha’s rule. The day ended with the handover of the RCPCH Presidency to Professor Steve Turner.
Day 3
A morning session focused on ‘Joy at Work’ and how we grow this. Delegates could choose from nine mid-morning specialty sessions followed by a range of plenary talks and afternoon workshops to finish a wonderful event.
