Solutions in Chemistry 2024 (SiC2024) is a response to the growing demand both in the academic and industry sectors in Croatia and is held biennially. The scientific program incorporates top scientists and entrepreneurs who will share their expertise with colleagues and younger chemists. The event is planned to be interdisciplinary and appeal to a wide range of chemists while at the same time keeping the guiding line of “solutions” throughout the program. The conference is primarily aimed at enthusiastic chemists interested in finding solutions to existing chemical challenges and a balanced selection of international and domestic plenary and invited speakers will enable good interactions and approach to problem solving from different angles. While important, this solution seeking will not overshadow the scientific aspect of the conference since there can be no problem solving without the in depth knowledge and expertise in the given field. The impact of the event will therefore be two-fold and the international participant attendance will ensure a two-way knowledge exchange and foster future networking.
